We don’t know about you but we’re pretty happy that these cold, dark winter months are almost over. Spring gives us all a much needed well… spring in our step! Goodbye winter coat, hello lighter layers (we hope!)
Here at Chez Jules we love spring too! Spring is the season of change and for us, this means an abundance of new, tasty, fresh ingredients delivered to our kitchen. Our daily changing menu will feature an array of seasonal ingredients- asparagus, purple sprouting broccoli and spring greens to name a few accompany the freshest of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Head chef, Tom can’t wait to get creative with this Spring’s offerings!
We really want to highlight the importance of just how fresh our food really is and we’re sure most of you don’t know that we haven’t had a freezer in our kitchen for the last 21 years…and still don’t! Our dedicated chefs prepare our menu dishes each morning including our delicious seasonal vegetable pans and all-time favourite dauphinoise potatoes! We’re incredibly proud to share with our customers where their food is coming from, having built up some great offer. We’d like to add that thanks to Chester Zoo’s sustainable palm oil project, our kitchen is free from unsustainable palm oil too!
From beginning to end, the Chez Jules experience is filled with the small touches that make your meal just that little bit more special. Our basket of freshly baked baguette sourced from Lee Hollywood’s local bakery ‘Born & Bread’ (Yes, that’s Paul Hollywood’s better-looking brother!) paired with the finest French butter always hits the spot. Our customers often like to finish their meals with a wonderfully caffeinated (and decaffeinated) coffee, supplied by award-winning Crosby coffee, who have featured in the Northern Independent Coffee Guide and who put together our own very special Chez Jules blend. We always pop a little homemade shortbread on your saucer too as everyone loves a sweet treat with their hot drink!
